On Sunday Oct. 13 at 4 pm, the First Congregational Church of Berlin (1808 Scott Hill Road, Berlin VT 05602) presents "Gratitude", a concert of music from the early 1800s in celebration of the 225th anniversary of our church. The concert will be led by Christopher McWilliams, Music Director at the church and will feature choral pieces performed by the choir and instrumental pieces performed by Christopher (organ and piano), Lotta Suter (violin) and Kailea Silver (cello). The music includes several shape-note pieces from 1802, a Beethoven trio for piano, violin and cello, selections from Handel's "Judas Maccabeus" and the "Sanctus" from the -Mozart "Requiem". Admission is free, with donations accepted on behalf of the FCCB Music Fund. This concert is concluding event in the celebration of the church;s 225th anniversary, which includes a special service on Oct. 13th at 9:30 a.m., a potluck lunch at 11:30 and historical exhibitions about the history of the church.
