Get involved this election season by talking with candidates for statewide office and celebrating possibility with the Green Mountain Peace and Justice Party. Join us on Saturday October 12 at the Burlington Friends Meeting House, 173 Prospect Street, Burlington Vermont from 2:00-5:00 pm.
We are offering a brief introduction to candidates followed by a chance to ask questions and engage in dialogue about issues that matter to you in this election season. We welcome questions. Live Music with Ralph Palatano and delicious snacks will add the the festivities.
We are a minor party with a major message. We support changes in government priorities to invest in people and communities instead of in control and repression. We strongly support Universal Healthcare, paying all workers enough to allow them to live without government subsidies, worker's cooperatives, labor unions, and a tax structure that shrinks the gap between the rich and the rest of us. We recognize the need to respond with urgency to the climate emergency. Engage with us in creating a new path forward using ideas that are outside the box that limits thinking in the major parties.
