Join SHLT staff and volunteers to help complete the boardwalk renovation in the South Hero Rec Park.
Originally built in 2008-2009 by local Eagle Scouts and their families, the boardwalk is getting completely rebuilt. We'll be removing old decking, and installing new sleepers, decking, and siderails. We've made great progress so far with the help of many volunteers, and we hope you can join us to help compete the project.
Please Bring: Water bottle, gloves (we'll have extra), closed-toed shoes, and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. We have some hand tools to share, but feel free to bring your own power drills, drivers, crowbars, saws, prybars, sledgehammers, and any other tool you think might be useful.
No construction experience necessary. We'll provide training, as well as snacks and hot drinks!
