The October 8th Substance Misuse Prevention Workshop is going to be powerful! Everyone gets a free copy of "Hey, Kiddo," Sharon O'Neill will facilitate a workshop, and then we will welcome a panel of youth from Elevate Youth Services to share their stories about how substance misuse has impacted their lives. Please join us and invite your friends, family and coworkers.
Certificates of completion are given to everyone for 3 hours of continuing education, and early childhood educators will get their hours entered into Northern Lights.
Tuesdays in October, during Substance Abuse Prevention Month, SAPCC is partnering with area experts, regional partners and guest speakers to host free workshops open to all to learn more about addiction and ways of supporting your community, clients, friends and family.

Oct. 8 from 1-4PM: "Hey Kiddo" - Discussion about Jarrett Krosoczka's autobiographical graphic novel, and how substance abuse impacts children, families and communities. Participants receive a free copy of the book!
Oct. 15 from 1-4PM: Turning Point Visits - Discussion from a panel of experts, followed by NARCAN training (all participants recived a free NARCAN kit). From 4 - 6PM there will be an open-house style community meal for anyone who participated in any of the workshops throughout the series.
The series will be facilitated by Sharon O'Neill, MAT, Training and Coaching Specialist, and Northern Lights Master Trainer. Early Childhood Educators will earn professional development hours!
All workshops will be held across the street from Springfield Area Parent Child Center at the SAPCC Training Center, 51 Jack and Jill Lane, North Springfield, VT.
***This series is being provided for FREE thanks to State of Vermont's Prevention Lead Funding (PL4) which aims to build sustainable, scalable, and equitable statewide systems in VT that prevent or reduce substance use/misuse across all ages and substances.***
