Decision Making to Improve Forest Health
Saturday, October 19
10:00am – 12:00pm
2759 E Hill Rd, Wolcott
The climate is changing and bringing more uncertainty to the future conditions of forests, but we can make decisions to help to advance the resilience of the woods we care for. Join landowner and Coverts Cooperator Joe Cotten as he hosts Dr. Ali Kosiba, forest ecologist and Extension Assistant Professor of Forestry at UVM for an interactive woods tour where we'll talk about practical steps you can take to include climate change into forest stewardship. Participants will receive a handy guide -- 12 Steps to Climate Resilience: Managing Your Forest with Climate Change in Mind. There will be lots of time to ask questions and explore interesting things we see in the woods. Participants should be prepared to walk in the woods where it may be wet or muddy.
Please e-mail Joe at wc35420@gmail.com so we have an idea of numbers.
