Mark your calendars! The Flying Pig Bookstore will host two wonderful Vermont authors Shelagh Connor Shapiro and Malisa Garlieb this Thursday, November 20th, at 7pm.
Shelagh Shapiro is a South Burlington resident and host of the radio show "Write the Book" on 105.9 The Radiator. Her stories have been featured in *North Dakota Quarterly, The Baltimore Review, Short Story*, and others. Her debut novel, *Shape of the Sky,* tells the story of a small Vermont town hosting a music festival, turned upside down by the discovery of a body in the woods.
Malisa Garlieb is a Shelburne resident and teacher at the Lake Champlain Waldorf School. Her poems have appeared in *Painted Bride Quarterly, Calyx, So to Speak*, and *Off the Coast* among others. Her debut collection, *Handing Out Apples in Eden,* is a book of warm and sometimes startling intimacy that grapples with issues at the core of modern relationships: the fluidity of identity and desire, the small acts of allegiance and betrayal.
