Join the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Vermont's Together for Mental Health Conference!
NAMI Vermont brings together communities to start conversations about mental health, promote prevention, and help people maintain their well-being. By having an open dialogue about mental health, we can raise awareness, build knowledge, and reduce stigma. This year, our conference is focused on Mental Health for All, including a major focus on our youth's mental health.
This annual conference draws hundreds of mental health professionals, family members, and peers together for education and networking on the latest in mental health research, best practices, and treatment options and to raise awareness to confront the stigma that surrounds mental illness. We are confident it will be a day of learning, networking, and deep conversations.
Our agenda features the Department of Mental Health commissioner, Emily Hawes, Keynote Speaker Dave Melnick, LICSW, and nine workshops with a lunch for making personal connections. Dave Melnick, LICSW, is the Director of the Transforming Trauma Collaborative at the NFI Family Center. For the past 40 years, Dave has worked in various clinical settings, including outpatient and residential treatment, as well as in public and day treatment schools. Along with his focus on Developmental Trauma, Dave has expertise in family therapy, adolescence, attachment, Reflective Practices, and Trauma-Informed Systems. He will follow up his keynote presentation with workshops that delve deeper into actionable techniques and strategies to deploy that registrants can take back into their practice and daily lives.
Fee (includes lunch): $95 for NAMI Members, $125 for Non-Members, and $95/each for Groups of 10+.
Full scholarships are available for low-income peers.
