Our first Repair Fair was so nice, we're doing it twice!
We all have that random item or two that we've been meaning to repair but just never seem to find the time, or the proper tool, or the know-how to do it right. Don't send those broken things to the landfill: bring them to the Brandon Town Hall on Sunday, October 20th for the Repair Fair! From 12 to 4 p.m., a team of dedicated fixers will be on hand to help you get your items back in working order.
Repair Categories include but not limited to:
-Computers and accessories
-Bicycles
-Vintage/antique sewing machines
-Small furniture
-Power tools
-Electronics
-Lamps
-Toys (plush and electronic)
-More to be added!
Want to help out as a Fixer? We are still looking for people to repair non-electronic items such as jewelry, watches, shoes, basic mending and more. People with repair businesses are welcome to join and give "free samples" or consultations, or simply add their business cards to our Repair Directory table. All ages are encouraged to help fix!
Please email mushroomtreeclothing@gmail.com and include your name, best method of contact, what you would like to fix, and what you can bring with you (i.e. tools and supplies). We provide tables, chairs, extension cords, and light refreshments for Fixers.
The Brandon Repair Fair is FREE to the public with no cost for repairs! This event is a collaborative effort between ReBHS and the Brandon Energy Committee. Many thanks to the Town of Brandon for their support!
