Putney's new downtown organization, Discover Putney, is hosting the Discover Putney Main Street Festival on Sunday September 29 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The festival will be a day of free events in downtown Putney, VT featuring food, drinks, children's activities, a scavenger hunt, a vendor fair including local artisans and businesses, and a concert with the Stockwell Brothers on the Tavern lawn. We have coordinated with other great happenings in Putney that day: The weekly Putney Farmers Market from 11 to 3 pm; Rod's Food Truck Round-up from 2 to 6 pm and Next Stage's Summer Bandwagon Concert at the Putney Inn Field featuring Yemen Blues at 4pm (tickets required). Activities and events will stretch along Main Street from the Putney Coop and Rod's Service Station to the Tavern Lawn and Putney General Store.
The festival was made possible through a grant from the Vermont Community Foundation and the effort of local volunteers and dozens of participating businesses and organizations - including the Putney Historical Society
