Dear Community~
I heard your concerns at the Select board meeting a few weeks ago-
At the end of that meeting there were no apparent answers or eased minds/hearts.
We collectively were heard and no gathering happened at Onion River Campground.
Since that evening, the owner of Onion River Campground has left the state and is now putting the campground up for sale.
However, we as a community may still have questions, concerns, and feelings about how to protect our children.
So, I offer a Community Conversation, led by a trained facilitator from Mosaic Vermont.
Community Conversation with Mosaic Vermont
Mosaic Vermont is Washington County's sexual violence prevention and response agency, specializing in preventing and responding to child sexual abuse.
During this workshop, Mosaic will lead participants in conversation and activities to equip caregivers with tools to support themselves and their children and youth, answer questions around prevention, and hold space for everyone to think about what the community needs to keep kids safe in the future.
Parents, caregivers and allied community members 18+ are welcome to attend.
1.5 hours, 6:00-7:30pm at The Jaquith Public Library
Childcare available on the playground, or in the dining room.
Cookies and Treats to share welcome.
Together we can care for our community.
Sincerely,
Erin Barry
(With my parent and community member hat on.)
