The Richmond Elementary School PTO is hosting Big Truck Day on Saturday, October 5th from 10am-2pm. We hope you come on by to touch those trucks. Not only will there be trucks, there will be rockets you can make, art projects to try, food to eat, and a bounce house to run through (maybe not in that particular order) but it will all be there, just for you! We're asking for a $5 donation per person, but any donation is greatly appreciated!
This year the PTO is fundraising for something super exciting: Each year the third grades classes work on persuasive essay writing all year long. At the end of the year, the most persuasive essay (or some type of metric to select an essay) will be implemented and the PTO will sponsor that essay. Last year, the winning essay was about new soccer goals. SO, the PTO is purchasing some heavy duty, permanent U-10 soccer goals for the school. I don't think the PTO votes for the essay, we just fund it. Fun!
