Leopold Bench Building Workshop for Bird Habitat Restoration Area at Rokeby Museum
Thursday October 3rd (Friday Oct 4th raindate)
10am – 1pm
Ferrisburgh, VT – Exact location provided with registration confirmation
Come assemble a Leopold bench for Rokeby Museum's birding hot spot! Then sit on the new bench and learn about the site and the birds who visit over lunch. Those involved in various aspects of the recent habitat restoration work will discuss the unfolding of this project, what birds pass through this habitat when, and how the mix of plant, bird, and animal species may change over time as succession takes place. Wear long pants and closed shoes. Please bring your lunch, work gloves and bug spray if needed, and a potluck dessert, which will fuel a discussion of a short land ethic reading.
Workshop includes all materials, tools and instruction; no woodworking experience needed! Registration is required and space is limited to 20 people, please sign up each attendee individually. Register @
