The League of Women Voters of Vermont (LWVVT) will host an in-person Candidate Forum for the office of Vermont Lieutenant Governor on Thursday, September 26 at the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum,1171 Main Street from 7 to 8:30 pm. A meet-and-greet is scheduled for 6 to 6:30 pm.

Candidates participating in the forum are Ian Diamondstone (Green Mountain Peace and Justice), John Rodgers (Republican), and incumbent, David Zuckerman (Democratic). Tom McKone, former Executive Director of the Kellogg-Hubbard Library, will serve as moderator.
Lieutenant Governor is the second ranking officer of the executive branch with three primary responsibilities: presiding over the Senate casting tie-breaking votes when required, determining committee assignments for senators, and acting as governor when the governor is out of state, incapacitated, and acceding to the governorship in case of a vacancy.
The Forum is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Vermont, St.
Johnsbury Athenaeum, and KATV.
