Fall Foliage Day at the Groton Library
Saturday Oct. 5, 9:30-1:30pm
Stop by the library on Fall Foliage Day & Contribute to a Community Art Project! Then, make a seasonal beaded bracelet and paint a fall themed rock to take home. Upstairs in the library Richard Montague will be turning spinning tops on his lathe. If you wish, he will make one for you. You can select the wood and choose the size, shape and color. There will be a variety of kinds and sizes of tops to see and to try. Learn about Smoke Detector Safety from our Volunteer Fire Department!
Across the street in Veteran's Park, take a stroll and enjoy the StoryWalk®. StoryWalk® promotes early literacy, physical activity, and time together in nature. Walk in the park and read successive pages from "Leaves" by David Ezra Stein along your path. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier Vermont. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
The Friends of the Groton Free Public Library will be raising funds in support of our Library Programs and Services.
