He neighbors - Please consider joining the Bike Train this Thursday morning! More info below, but don't hesitate to email me with any questions.
This is the fourth ride organized by the new group Bikeable Burlington Now.
The Pine Street corridor is a known issue for anyone who rides bikes in Burlington, especially headed into the downtown area from the South. Sharrows instead of a bike lane, tons of on-street parking, door zones & potholes galore! This stretch of road has been the scene of at least 3 different accidents this season alone. Please join us to bring visibility to the need for a safer Pine Street for all!
The ride will depart from the Pine Street Deli, at the intersection of Pine Street and Flynn Ave at 8am. Please arrive by 7:45am to put signs on your bike. We’ll ride Pine Street to Main Street, then turn right to end at City Hall Park.
Show up early for snacks if you need to fuel up, or if you need time to get creative with signage.
The idea, as with previous rides, is to space people out every 30/60 seconds so we can ride safely with traffic, convey a positive message, and create a strong visible presence without a “critical mass” style blockage. With Champlain Elementary drop-offs and Dealer.com arrivals during this time, we’re bound to be seen.
If you're unable to make this ride, stay tuned for more rides in Burlington and beyond.
