I am hosting two performances by a wonderful Bulgarian singing trio next weekend: Saturday night, November 22 at 7:30 at Greensboro United Church; and Sunday, November 23 at Bethany Church in Montpelier. On Sunday they will lead a Bulgarian singing workshop from 2:30-5:30 and will present a concert at 7:00. The trio, based in New York, is Bulgarian native Vlada Tomova, Russian native Valentina Kvasova, and New York born Shelley Thomas. They are all fantastic singers, and the program will include traditional Bulgarian village songs as well as more contemporary arrangements.
