The Mitzvah Fund, Capital City Farmers Market, and Bethany Church have teamed up to offer a non religious blessing of the animals on October 12, in the grassy area just outside the Market. The Mitzvah Fund is present every week and dogs abound at every market. So it's a perfect setting for acknowledging the intrinsic value of each animal and the special bond between pets and their humans.

While all animals are welcome, please use good judgment about the animal's comfort and ability to tolerate the human and animal traffic at the market. Dogs need to be leashed, cats in carriers, and all other animals in appropriate safe containment. Blessings will be given during the Market hours, 9-1. Look forward to lots of kindness and blessings, but no vet services will be provided.
