The Craftsbury Public Library will host a Halloween Costume Swap on October 12 from 10 to 12 at the library. Costumes that have been outgrown or are ready for new owners can be dropped off at the library from October 7-11, or brought in on the morning of the swap. Homemade and store bought costumes in good condition are welcomed, and costumes for all ages from babies to adults are also welcomed. This can include all-inclusive costumes or components to create your own, such as wigs, fancy clothes, scary masks, lab coats, ornate scarves, etc.
On Saturday, October 12, everyone is welcome to come browse through the offerings and take home whatever inspires each person. It is not necessary to donate items in order to pick something up, but please give priority to kids for items that would work for all sizes. Lisa Santamore has offered her sewing assistance from 10 to 12 that day to provide quick repairs or alterations for children. Any remaining items will remain on display at the library for the following week for people to peruse.
For more information, contact the library at director@craftsburypubliclibrary.org or 802-586-9683. This program is made possible with support from the Association of Rural and Small Libraries.
