Wondering how to have a healthy conversation with that wacky relative spouting conspiracy theories at the holiday table? Trying to figure out how to connect with and stay cordial with your neighbor even if you have yard signs for different political candidates?
Join us for a discussion with Sarah Stroup, Professor of Political Science at Middlebury College and Director of the KWD Collaborative in Conflict Transformation. Professor Stroup will lay out the ways that binary thinking prevents productive conversations and will suggest ways to improve our interactions and the quality of our political discussions. We can create generous and interesting discussions with our neighbors, family, and community members by understanding how people's opinions are formed and recognizing the complexity of people's decision-making.
