The Shaker Harvest Festival 2024 is a fun-filled day for the whole family! Celebrate the autumn harvest with horse-drawn wagon rides, cider making, butter churning, ice cream cranking, candle dipping, traditional crafts including broom making, farm animals, live music, Garden, Barn, & Museum tours, food, and more!

Harvest Festival in the Garden:
Featured Talk: "Tips for End-of-Season Gardening & Preparing for Winter" with gardening expert Henry Homeyer. Learn strategies to ready your garden for the cold months ahead and ensure a flourishing start next spring.

Guided Herb Garden Tour: Enjoy a guided tour of the Enfield Shaker Herb Garden led by our Garden Coordinator, Susan Quinlan, alongside guest speaker Happy Griffiths. Explore the rich history and diverse plantings of the garden, learn about the unique herbs grown by the Shakers, and get inspired to incorporate these time-honored plants into your own garden.

Children's Art in the Garden: Bring the young ones to explore their creativity with artist Tami De Felice at our "Children's Art in the Garden" tent. This hands-on experience will allow kids to express their artistic side while connecting with the natural beauty of the garden.

Nature Journaling for Kids by Tami DeFelice

Pollinator Tent: Young children can join the fun at our Pollinator Tent, where they can create their own pollinator masks and craft pine cone bird feeders. This interactive activity teaches kids the importance of pollinators while allowing them to create something special to take home.

Harvesting Honey – Watch and learn as the President of the NH Beekeepers Association, Shane Howard, demonstrates the art of harvesting honey, offering insights into the fascinating world of bees and the sweet rewards they produce.

Culinary Herb Harvest and Preservation – Learn the best techniques for harvesting and preserving culinary herbs to keep your kitchen stocked with fresh flavors all year long with Herbal Vinegars and Herbal Salts making Demonstrations

How to make an Everlasting Wreath – Discover the art of creating beautiful, long-lasting wreaths using garden herbs and flowers.

Creating Herbal Teas from the Garden – Learn how to harvest and blend herbs from your garden to create delicious, healthful teas.

Explore Fragrant herbs and create your own Sachet

Visit our Enfield Shaker Herb Garden Market Tent: Explore our market tent offering a variety of unique, garden-inspired products. Take home a taste of our garden with Enfield Shaker Museum Herb Garden Honey, dried everlasting herbal wreaths, sachets, and bundles. We also have a selection of fresh herbs, including Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, Thyme, various Basils (Tulsi, Lemon, Thai, Purple, and Genovese), **French tarragon, Greek oregano, Lemon balm and much more.

Shaker Onions grown on site, Rhubarb, Pumpkins, Pickles, Jams and Baked goods.
