The Children's Room is open for the school year! If you are caring for children ages 0-6 and looking for a play space to meet other children and adults, come visit The Children's Room. It is located in Brookside Primary School on 47 Stowe Street in Waterbury Village, and we have a comfortable, safe and toy-filled area for children to play and socialize. We have weekly free programming including Nature Explorations, Music & Movement, Science & Art Fridays, a new Caregiver and Baby Circle and monthly events such as our Barn Dance (info below!), Not So Scary Halloween Party, Open Gym and Big Toy Night. ALSO, coming up on Sunday, September 29th is The Children's Room ANNUAL BARN DANCE and HARVEST FEST! Bring your families, friends and neighbors to the Beard's beautiful property in Waterbury Center and celebrate 40 years of the Children's Room being open. The Barn Dance is The Children's Room's biggest fundraising event of the year with harvest snacks, pony rides, live music from the "Prohibition Pickers" this year, hay rides, face painting, games and more! We're having a pie contest too, so bring a pie to share:). The location is 1601 Barnes Hill Rd in Waterbury Center. 2:00-5:00 pm. $25 per family. Cash, check or Venmo.
