An Evening of Documentary Film and Music in Wilmington

Three local filmmakers will be screening recently completed short documentaries, in addition to a musical performance by Johnny Gifford of Brattleboro.

Program:

Index Drift 1 (Through a Deep Culture):
The first installment of a brand new non-fiction anthology series by Wilmington filmmaker Garret Harkawik, made up of four stories told in seven chapters. This piece features everything from found footage home movies to an in-depth look at the man known as The Bennington Batman.

Kelley Street Garden:
A short documentary about an urban garden I the Bronx, by Wilmington / NYC filmmaker Matt Kohn.
2023, 14 minutes.

Secret Mystery Film:
A new film by Marlboro-based filmmaker Jesse Kreitzer.
2024, 8 minutes.

Johnny Gifford: A musician based in Brattleboro who combines original songs with luscious soundscapes to tie an entire set into one neat package. Each performance is constructed uniquely and features different instruments/electronics, with a healthy dose of improvisation. Sometimes he may only play songs, and sometimes he might play no songs at all.

September 28th at 8pm at Historic Memorial Hall in Wilmington. Free.
