Cornwall's second annual History Day takes place on September 22 starting at 11AM and focuses on Town Transitions - from the land itself to the people who live here.
Exhibits from local artisans, showcasing what was once "home" work that is now artwork will be featured at the Town Hall, along with an ongoing video presentation highlighting the transitions of many of Cornwall's physical structures from one use to another (and another!).
Kids games, candle-dipping and local history exhibits will take place at the historic DAR building, and fun and games will also be ongoing at the site of Cornwall's soon-to-be new recreation area near the elementary school.
The Glen Dale barns on Cider Mill Road will be open – hosting some old-fashioned, hand-cranked cider pressing for any and all who want to give it a try! And, of course, the Blacksmith Shop on Route 30 will open its doors and welcome visitors to the forge.
History presentations – starting at 1 O'Clock will take place at the 1803 Congregational Church, and the day will finish up with fiddle music at 3:15 PM in the church building.
Join us for a celebration of all things Cornwall!
