Please head down to the Common on Tuesday, September 17 for the 8th Annual "Night on the Common," starting at 5:30pm. At least 17 local groups and organizations will be represented, along with your favorite Farmers' Market vendors. There will be music, fresh produce, a variety of yummy food items, and crafts galore. The Veterans' Place will be selling daffodil bulbs to raise awareness of Veteran Suicide. (September is suicide awareness month, and yellow is the color representing suicide awareness.) If you plant the bulbs in September, they will bloom in May, which is mental health awareness month. Don't have a yard? No problem! Purchase them for a friend or neighbor who does! All proceeds benefit our residents by supporting programs to help veterans experiencing homelessness get back on their feet. Spring represents renewal: Buy a bulb, help save a life.
