The Richmond Historical Society, loving steward of the Old Round Church and Richmond's rich history, is hosting its second concert of the summer 2024 season with headliner Mama Tried. Mama Tried: "All-gal foot-stomping bluegrass, country folk and blues string band from Vermont. This Vermont-based band features Rebecca Padula's smokin' vocals, Linda Kallinger's fine fiddlin', "Ukulele" Clare Innes on the uke and banjo, and Kathy Mulligan laying down the bassline." Pull on your fanciest Carhartts. Get on your dancing shoes. Do not ask them to play Stairway. Joy is contagious. Head-banging is optional (also contagious, under certain circumstances). Prepare to energize your Soul. I would tell you that Taylor & Travis are making a surprise appearance (in disguises, of course), but that would violate the many layers of NDA's that may (or may not) have been signed.*

The show is only one week away on Saturday September 21st at 7 PM, inside the Old Round Church. All who believe in the power of music and community and good sonic vibrations are welcome and encouraged to join this experience. Admission will be by donation - $15 is suggested - and any profits from the concert will go toward maintenance of the Old Round Church and/or preservation projects about Richmond.
