Hi all,

First I wanted to remind you that we'll be meeting at the East Calais Recreation Building (the post office) at 6:00 on Thursday, September 26 (NOT this week but next week), for our monthly potluck. Bring a dish to share, or even just come as you are - there's plenty to go around. Most folks like bringing their own dishes and silverware, but you can also use what's provided in the building's kitchen. We'll have hot water and a selection of tea.

Can't wait to see you all - the event is open to everyone.

ALSO, the Friends of Calais community group will be holding a Back to School BBQ and Potluck event at East Calais Elementary this coming Thursday, September 19, at 6:00 pm. The Friends will be grilling hot dogs, hamburgers, and bean burgers, and everyone is welcome to bring a dish to share. While this event is held in tandem with the school's Open House event, EVERYONE IS WELCOME. Please consider coming out and joining your neighbors in celebrating the start of the school year for our local families.
