Big Heavy World starts developing its new Vermont band guide at this monthly civic hacking meetup of Burlington’s local Code for America Brigade, Code for BTV. We’ll be gathering in the Community Room of the Fletcher Free Library, 1-4pm on Sunday, November 30. PHP and WordPress programmers, help Big Heavy World represent Vermont's bands and musicians with a new Vermont band guide at bigheavyworld.com! The site is powered by WordPress and the volunteer crew has been gathering contact info for musicians across Vermont. Volunteers will build a directory that shares Vermont's amazing music scene with the world, and prepare it to connect to the New England-wide CreativeGround.org directory so Vermont can shine farther than ever before. Also, The Digital Front Door Challenge asks Brigade members to help Code for America create a baseline of how well municipal sites across the country are serving as the digital “front door” to government.
