Sodom Pond 4 Mile Run – Wednesday, September 18, 2024, 6pm

Join Central Vermont Runners (CVR) this Wednesday, September 18, 2024 for the annual Sodom Pond 4 Mile Run, and run around beautiful Sodom Pond in Adamant, Vermont. Race day registration in front of the Adamant Coop begins at 5pm, and the race starts at 6pm. Entry fee $10.00. Online registration is available at cvrunners.org.

Age group awards include goodies from the Adamant Coop. CVR thanks the community and the Adamant Coop for supporting this event year after year and for their use of the venue. This run was founded decades ago by local Rich Czaplinski from his cabin on Sodom Pond Road. Rich's daughter Anne Treadwell runs the event regularly and is an active member on the executive committee of CVR.

The route circumvents Sodom Pond counterclockwise, starting on Adamant Road in front of Ruth Coppersmith's house just above the Coop. Runners are instructed to stay to the left side of the road. From the start runners turn left onto Center Road and run a mile up the hills then turning left again onto Sibley Road for a premier Vermont farm and mountain view, with downhill to boot. Another mile and runners take another left onto Sodom Pond Road and stay on Sodom for almost two miles before turning left again onto Adamant Road to the finish line just before the Coop. The awards will take place on site shortly after 6pm and results will be posted at cvrunners.org.

Please Park respectfully and don't block Adamant Coop parking spaces or intersections and driveways. Parking at the nearby church is available. See you there!!!!!
