This free CPR training is being held at the Waitsfield Ambulance Station from 6-7pm on Wednesday, Nov. 19. To register please email cpr@mrvas.org or call 496-8888. In one hour you will be trained to administer effective, life-saving CPR that involves just two easy steps. Step One: Call 911 or have someone make the call. Step Two: Administer effective chest compressions. You will also learn how to use an Automated Electronic Defibrillator (AED) and what to do in the event of a choking emergency. Cardiac arrests are more common than you think and they can happen to anyone at any time. The life you save with CPR is most likely to be a loved one given that 4 out of 5 cardiac arrests happen at home. Effective bystander CPR provided immediately after sudden cardiac arrest can double or triple a victim’s chance of survival. So become a life saving member of your community and take a CPR course. Offered the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month.
