this Saturday & Sunday, September 14 & 15th,
at the former Shortt Schoolhouse in Calais.

Items include extensive book and record collections; original art, political posters and photos; antique furniture and furnishings including mid-century Red Wing and Ralph Wright pottery; a TV that also plays VHS and DVDs; everything from a Russian samovar to a Victorian hair wreath; old skis and boots; blankets and quilts; lots of puzzles and other odds and ends less interesting but useful nonetheless.

10 AM-4PM both days.

Established in 1820 for the children from the Slayton, Shortt and Converse families, Schoolhouse served Calais children for 101 years until it closed in 1921. Come see the original rafters and space, and the new version of the south facing windows, and pick up a few things at the same time!
