Dear Lamoille County Community Members:
In acknowledgement of September being HUNGER ACTION MONTH, Lamoille Community Food Share (LCFS) is hosting its first annual, LETS BAG HUNGER TOGETHER rain or shine event on September 21st from 11-2 at the Oxbow in Morrisville.
LCFS's goal is for the Lamoille County Community to show up in support of helping our neighbors in need by bringing a bag of non-expired, shelf-stable foods, personal care or household items with you to the Oxbow. Alternatively or additionally, offering LCFS a minimum suggested donation of $10/family will help us achieve our goal of remaining a stable and sustainable source of support in our community for years to come. Our amazing team of volunteers will be on hand to receive your donations and transport and store them at our pantry on Harrell Street.
In exchange for your support, join us for 3 hours of fabulous music by Lamoille local bands, The Lost Faculty and Deadbeats of Stowe, and enjoy food for purchase from local food vendors, Gerber's Tacos, Nepali Cuisine, and Aladdin- A Taste of the Middle East.
While the root causes of food insecurity remain ongoing challenges to solve, what we know we can show up to do is provide quality and reliable food and personal care items to the individuals and families in our community.
Please help us spread the word about this family-friendly event and join us in Bagging Hunger Together, September 21st from 11-2 at the Oxbow in Morrisville.
If you're unable to attend and would like to make a donation to LCFS, please go to https://givebutter.com/8AT5En
Thank you!
