Mark your calendars for another very special Neighbor-to-Neighbor Lecture Series program from the Grafton Public Library!
Join us in celebration of Madeleine Kunin's new book, Walk With Me, as our former Governor honors us with a reading of selections from her second book of poetry.
In Walk With Me, Madeleine Kunin has given us powerful poems that reflect her tenacity, her insight, and her humor. The poems focus on this late-stage of life and urge us onward with the message, "it is never too late to do what you love." As poet Major Jackson has stated," these poems illustrate that her insight is spectacularly fresh and tender."
Madeleine has written four previous books describing her experiences as the first woman Governor of Vermont. In these books she highlights the obstacles that women have faced in selecting a political life, as well as the challenges of navigating the politics of elections and their aftermaths. Her book, The New Feminist Agenda, was named a New York Times notable book. She served as Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education, and Ambassador to Switzerland.
Please join Madeleine for an hour of poetry and discussion about the poems, and about navigating life with a sense of wonder and humor. Autographed books will be available for purchase.
Seating is limited and will fill up quickly, so registration is required. Make sure to contact us so we can save you a seat. Light refreshments will be served and autographed books will be available for purchase.
