Registration is underway (through September 20) for fall semester classes at Montpelier Senior Activity Center (MSAC). Ellie Hayes and co-leaders Zhen Wolffe and Cherie Landi will be offering an Introduction to Tai Chi on Wednesdays, 10:00-10:45 am. The fundamental principles of Tai Chi are also a perfect recipe for those seeking an improved sense of balance, calm awareness and a wellspring of energy that is both rooted and free flowing. Using simple movement sequences derived from Sun Style Tai Chi, we will explore these underlying principles together.
From 11:00-11:45 on Wednesdays, Ellie will be leading a Sun 73 Tai Chi class for those familiar with Intro to Tai Chi movements.
Also on Wednesdays, 12:00-12:45 pm, learn Longevity Tree Qigong with Ellie. This qigong form comes to us from the Nam Hoa Temple Tradition. You will learn an Energy Workout as well as a sequence of movements much like Tai Chi. The form has 36 named movements, ranging from simple to complex. As the movements are learned, we can deepen our experience of their energetic qualities and spiritual essence.
On Mondays, 12 noon-12:45, learn the beautiful Hua Yue Tai Chi form with Ellie.*
