The Northfield Conservation Commission will be hosting a series of hikes on the Town Forest this fall.
Tentative dates and planned hikes:

Saturday, Sept. 14 - Kingston Rd to Hawk Watch via Clark route, return via Hawk Watch loop trail to Clark route and back to cars. Meet at intersection of Barrows Rd and 64 access road.

Saturday, Sept 21 - Paine Mt, trail to Beaver Pond and return via a slate quarry, the Norwich anchor and back to cars. Meet at the Green Mountain Family Practice.

Saturday, Sept. 28 - Paine Mountain trail to summit of Paine Mountain. Return via Hawk Watch loop trail and Ridgeline trail. Meet at Green Mountain Family Practice.

Saturday, Oct. 5 - Hike from Waitsfield Town Forest to summit of Scrag Mountain and back down to Northfield trail head. Car shuttle required. Meeting location to be determined.

Saturday, Oct, 19 - Either a hike on the Middlesex Town Forest or a Ridgeline hike from Rt, 64 to Berlin pond via Paine Mountain and Irish Hill. Meeting location to be determined.
