School season is here, which means so are our students, and the next three weeks of Community Dinners will be meticulously planned and prepared by our students in the Food Harvest and Conservation course. This meal is free and open to anyone in the greater Craftsbury community and neighboring towns.
This week's menu will be Moroccan grilled chicken, featuring chicken raised on the Sterling College Farm, harvested just this Tuesday by our students. We will serve this with roasted lemon dill potato wedges, braised chard, and homemade pita bread. All of the vegetables this week are coming straight from our garden - and there will not be zucchini (finally!) Accompanying the vegetables will be a wide variety of spreads and dips. Dessert is a Greek Orange Cake with freshly whipped cream.
Dinner starts at 4:30pm and runs until 6:00pm in our Dunbar Dining Hall, all diets are accommodated - even the fussy ones, and we will be accepting donations via our beloved donation shark. All donations benefit the Sterling Annual Fund which goes toward student tuition for current and future students. Students in the course will also be giving a brief presentation at 5:30pm while dinner is going on, highlighting all that went into planning and preparing the meal.
Bring a friend, and we hope to see you there!
