4th Annual Winter Mixer & Wreath Auction

Thursday, November 20th

6:30-8:30pm

Magic Hat Artifactory (5 Bartlett Bay Road, South Burlington)

Winter is coming and darkness is upon us. All the more reason to kick up the fires and celebrate. The Shelburne Craft School invites you to a special event celebrating the season.

The School will host its 4th Annual Winter Mixer & Wreath Auction at Magic Hat’s Artifactory on Thursday, November 20th. For this enchanting holiday-flavored evening, we will be joined by our friends from Shelburne Vineyard who will be pouring their wines alongside Magic Hat’s beer and a wonderful selection of hors d’oeuvre.

But the highlight of the evening will be the auctioning of a special collection of wreaths by local artisans. Each wreath is inspired by the circle form but the artisan takes the concept in wild and exciting new directions, often using non-traditional materials. On hand will be a clay wreath by Rik Rolla; a stained-glass wreath by Sarah Sprague; and a painted panel wreath by Sage Tucker-Ketcham. Matthew Taylor is offering a wreath made of fine metal and Christy Mitchell presents a mixed media wreath. The wreaths can be enjoyed year round. The auction–always a festive affair–will be conducted by Jamie Polli of GameshowsVT.
The 4th Annual Winter Mixer and Wreath Auction is a fundraiser for the Shelburne Craft School and is generously sponsored by Magic Hat, G.W. Savage, Close to Home, and Roundstone International. Tickets are $35 for members ($45 for non-members) and include a complimentary glass of wine or beer, light fare, and a complimentary handcrafted holiday ornament.
