There will be a party on the Bristol Green, on Friday, September 13th from 4:00 to 7:00, to celebrate 35 years of Addison Housing Works, the nonprofit tasked with working for affordable homes in Addison County.
Festivities include:

It is no secret that housing needs are enormous at this time, at many levels. Creating and sustaining affordable homes in Addison County is the work of Addison Housing Works. The accomplishments are worth celebrating, but the challenges going forward are daunting.
The event is a time to gather the community together on the subject of affordable housing, and to and to think about and raise support to address the housing crisis for another 35 years.
Housing is more important than ever to the health and vitality of our community. While each week seems to bring another high-profile news piece about the housing crisis, there is some good news, locally: The Firehouse Apartments in Bristol are now homes to 20 families and individuals who were previously struggling to find and afford housing. Firehouse joins AHW's portfolio of over 750 permanently affordable homes.
All the proceeds from the event will go to support AHW's programs to help ensure everyone has access to a safe, decent, affordable home.
