How Can We Improve Emergency Communication?

In the aftermath of the floods, many have mentioned improving communication as a goal. Neighbor to Neighbor volunteers have been working with the town to create a more comprehensive Local Emergency Management Plan for any future emergencies we face. In addition to getting as many people as possible signed up for the town's emergency alert system, the discussion of centralizing a communication hub and identifying a point person has been discussed. Do you have ideas about how to improve access to needed information in an emergency? Come to the gathering and share your thoughts!

In collaboration with the town, Hardwick Neighbor to Neighbor will host a town-wide gathering on Monday, September 16, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, at Hazen Union to discuss past flood response and proactive ways to support one another during future emergencies.
