Fall is here and we have a lineup for you for the Bristol Social Justice Discussion Group! This month's event is:
Talking Politics: getting beyond "us" vs "them"
Thursday September 26
7:00-8:30pm
In person at the Library
REGISTRATION: https://www.lawrencelibraryvt.org/events/talking-politics-getting-beyond-us-vs-them
While elections are about making choices, the political questions that inform those choices are much more complicated. How can we create generous and interesting discussions with our neighbors, family, and community members? Join us for a discussion with Sarah Stroup, Professor of Political Science at Middlebury College and Director of the KWD Collaborative in Conflict Transformation. Professor Stroup will lay out the ways that binary thinking prevents productive conversations and suggest ways to improve our interactions and the quality of our political discussions.
