Please join the Otter Valley Aquarium Society at its September meeting for a talk on freshwater shrimp, given by Therese Neal.

The meeting will be held at the Maclure Library in Pittsford at 7:00 pm on Tuesday 9/10/2024. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome.

Therese Neal has been a dedicated freshwater shrimp and planted aquarium enthusiast since her introduction to the hobby in 2009. She was the first to organize shrimp contests in the US, creating the first international shrimp championship for The Aquatic Experience while working directly with noted shrimp expert Chris Lukhaup. With this experience and exposure, Therese was invited to attend, judge, and help organize other contests throughout Europe and Asia. In 2019, she created a new, USA breeder focused shrimp contest for Aquashella, which is held 2-3 times per year. She has recently created a next level contest, known as the North American International Shrimp Contest. She enjoys bringing people in the fish hobby together for a front row seat view of freshwater shrimp. Therese believes in the power of community, helping others in their journey with shrimp breeding.

Therese also works in the aquarium industry and represents the international brand, Co2Art, which offers a range of products for Aquatic Planted Tanks.
