The Ryegate Historical Society welcomes you to join them at Whitelaw Hall in East Ryegate on Sunday the 8th at 3 pm to hear all about William Scott and why is was called the Sleeping Sentinel.
He enlisted in the VT Regiment in July of 1861. In August he was found asleep while on guard duty. He was court-martialed and found guilty. Come hear his fascinating story.
