Here are 2 fun things for this week-end:
1.The Montpelier Chamber Orchestra (MCO) is presenting a wonderful concert series this Saturday evening (11/15) 7:30 and Sunday afternoon (11/16) 4:00 at the Montpelier Unitarian Church featuring internationally acclaimed piano virtuoso and Cabot resident Diane Huling. The program includes Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll and Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto. Tickets are available at the door: $15 Adults, $12 Seniors, $10 Students. There is a great review by Jim Lowe on the front page of the Thursday 11/13 Times-Argus INVITE section.
2. The MCO is also holding a Wine Raffle: First Prize: 2 cases (that’s 24 bottles, folks) of premium wines – at least a $400 value donated by Fresh Tracks, North Branch and Shelburne vineyards among others; Second Prize: a collector’s bottle of wine; and Third Prize: a wine tasting with cheese pairings for 6 at Montpelier’s North Branch Café. The drawing will be held during the Sunday 11/16 concert. You do not need to be present, but must be able to pick up the wine. Tickets are $15 and will be available at both concerts and as well as www.eventbrite.com/e/montpelier-chamber-orchestra-wine-raffle-tickets-14348549899.
This is a great way to experience spectacular music while supporting your local orchestra and possibly winning some wonderful wine.
