Time to find out how our bat friends are doing these days with Travis Hart, biologist with Fish and Wildlife in Rutland County! Come ready to explore the trails and woods in Shrewsbury on September 7 from 10:00 – noon. On our walk enjoying the trails in "Plymsbury" , Travis will talk about our forest bat species, habitat that supports these bats and some things people can do at their own homes to try and improve habitat for bats. The Plymsbury area is also near a hibernacula. SCC member Chris Clarke will share a handout on making your own bat house.
Meet at the parking area at the end of Old Plymouth Road. Wear clothing appropriate for the weather and bring water, and binoculars if you like. Enjoy a hike with shared knowledge with the SCC!
