Please join us this Sunday September 1st from 10am -2pm at the Winooski Fiber Fair to celebrate Winooski's Textile history then and now, co-hosted by the Heritage Winooski Mill Museum and the Winooski Farmers Market. The Fiber Fair will be right outside the Champlain Mill as an extension of the Farmer's Market. The Mill Museum will also be open inside the Champlain Mill.
There will be an amazing assortment of VT made textiles from 14 different guest artisans. You will find handmade woven, knit, crochet, hand dyed, printed, and sewn goods for purchase.
The Mill Museum will be hosting a Mandala Community Weaving project - You are invited to add to it by weaving, make a mini self portrait clothespin doll, or just writing down a message about what you love about our community.
Additionally, we will have fiber demonstrations, activities, and exhibit previews from Billing Farm Museum, Ethan Allen Homestead, Rokeby Museum and the Fleming Museum of Art! There is lots to discover!
Don't miss going inside the Mill Museum to see our brand new Community Art Exhibition which features knitted blankets and quilts created by community members from AALV and the Winooski & Heineberg Senior Centers!
