Soft Rocks and Movement Collective are an exceptional new ensemble with some of Vermont's most esteemed musicians and movers!
Matt Barocca, violinist/guitarist and the creative chair of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra is joined by drummer Jeremy Frederick, and bassist/saxophonist Kyle Saulnier. They will be improvising with and within dancers Jessie Owens, Nicole Dagesse, Danielle Tekut and HANNA SATTERLEE (a favorite among Phantom audiences)
Striving to transcend conventional notions about the relationship between music and dance. Larocca explains:
"There are moments when the movement drives the music. There are moments when the movement drives the music. And there's a final state, the best one, where it's indistinguishable who is leading who. These are the moments to strive for, when we are truly creating something unique"
