The annual Rabbi Victor E. Reichert Bible Talk will be held on Sunday, September 8th, 3pm at the Ripton Community Church.
The Talk will be presented by The Reverend Doctor Neal F. Fisher of Middlebury. The title of his talk will be "The Human Prospect and God's Design." Neal is a Senior Scholar and President Emeritus of Garrett-Evangelical School of Theology at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He was Associate Dean at Boston University School of Theology and served for many years as a United Methodist minister. He has his undergraduate degree from DePauw University, and Master of Divinity and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Boston University.
Rabbi Reichert was a close friend of poet Robert Frost, who invited him to spend his summers in Ripton. Reichert was named Rabbi-in-Residence by the Methodist congregation in Ripton and delivered his Talk on a book of the Hebrew Bible every summer.
