TROPICAL FISH CLUB OF BURLINGTON Presents "Freshwater Shrimp Keeping, what's all the fuss about?" Thursday Sept 12th, 2024 @ 7:00 PM

Kick off the fall season with Therese Neal presenting "Freshwater Shrimp keeping, what's all the fuss about?" This is a new program by the Shrimp Princess!

Therese Neal has been a dedicated freshwater shrimp and planted aquarium enthusiast since her introduction to the hobby in 2009. Therese was the first to organize the shrimp contests in the US, creating the first international shrimp championship for The Aquatic Experience while working directly with Chris Lukhaup. With the experience and exposure from there, Therese was invited to attend, judge, and help organize many other contests throughout Europe and in Asia. In 2019, she created a new, USA breeder focused shrimp contest for Aquashella. This contest continues, 2-3 times per year. Therese has once again created a next level contest, known as the North American International Shrimp Contest. Therese has the passion and drive for bringing people in the hobby together, giving those that would normally never see freshwater shrimp, a front row seat. This Shrimp Princess believes in the power of community, helping others in their journey with shrimp breeding, and connecting hobbyists to people that share the passion of these beauties. Therese also works in the aquarium industry and represents the international brand, Co2Art, which offers a range of products for Aquatic Planted Tanks.
