Frantz has been doing photography and making mobiles for over half a century. His photographs were first published in 1976, and as recently as 2023. In 1986, he was honored to have his work represented in an exhibit, and subsequent book, titled "In Spite of Everything, Yes", which also included work by renowned photographers Henri Cartier-Bresson, Eliot Porter, Dorothea Lange, and Paul Caponigro, among others.
