Did you know that the only known witch trial in Vermont occurred in Pownal? Come hear more about this fascinating historical event and honor the Widow Krieger with a walk across the river where it happened. The walk is hosted by the Pownal Historical Society. Spectators and participants are invited to gather at 12:45pm at the Dean Road Bridge. The Witches' Walk will start at 1pm. Costumes are encouraged!
Come to the Solomon Wright Public Library around 2pm, following the Witches' Walk and Remembrance, to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Pownal Historical Society and to reflect on their many accomplishments through the years. There will be music by The Real Jazz Trio, featuring Dave Banulis on guitar, Art Amuso on bass, and Bob Vacca on drums, and light refreshments. The library is located at 97 Main Street, Pownal. Free event and all are welcome!
