United Counseling Service (UCS)'s division of Early Childhood Services will host an open interviews event for its Head Start/Early Head Start programs on August 28, 2024, from 4-6pm at the Spring Center at 655 Gage Street in Bennington, VT. UCS staff will be on site to share information about working for Head Start/Early Head Start, including benefits, describe open positions, and conduct on the spot interviews with candidates.

Head Start/Early Head Start provides early childhood education for children ages six weeks to five years, as well as health screenings, nutrition education, oral health services, healthy meals, and family support, including community outreach activities, parenting classes, and regular home visits.

Career paths in Head Start/Early Head Start include family support and engagement, teaching, transportation, cooking, health services, and more. Available positions can be found at http://ucsvt.org/careers. Some positions may be eligible for VT $4,000 annual student loan repayment or the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
